Time Line
Preload It is best to space out amino acid intake to minimize competition between them. for maximum absorbance take with something sugary preferably grapefruit juice. Also when dealing with amounts try to keep constancy, if you take the lowest amount for one take the lowest amount for all. I recommend taking the lowest amount of each because the rest will most likely just be flushed from your body without being used.
500-1000mg Magnesium Drop Try to relax as much as possible and get yourself in a good mood for the trip ahead.
100mg 5-HTP Postload If you have PROZAC take a regular dose about 4 hours after you have taken MDMA, Prozac has been proven to prevent neurotoxicity, by preventing the creation of Oxidized Dopamine.
Before Going to sleep Cleanse Now its time to take it easy. revert back to your normal lifestyle. Drink lots of water and pay attention to your body's needs. Eat well and take a multi vitamin. Search for the news about the next party and bullshit with your friends about all the stupid shit you did when you were high. |

Important Terms | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Serotonin (neurotransmitter) Serotonin is
normally involved in temperature regulation, sensory perception, and
mood control It also plays a major role in emotional disorders such as
depression, suicide, impulsive behavior, and aggression.
| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Dopamine (neurotransmitter)
As a chemical messenger,
dopamine is similar to adrenaline. Dopamine affects brain processes that
control movement, emotional response, and ability to experience pleasure
and pain.
| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Oxidized Dopamine
(neurotransmitter)
"The Enemy" normally these guys
pose no threat to a healthy body, but with the introduction of MDMA into
the equation things can get a little backwards. Resulting in confused
Oxidized Dopamine trying to replace serotonin, and
causing a bit of nerve damage in the process. Loads of Vitamin C in the
system will clean these guys up before they can cause any damage.
Oxidized Dopamine is created by an enzyme named monoamine oxidase (MAO),
it breaks down dopamine in a natural process essential for your body to
operate. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Norepinephrine (neurotransmitter)
Also called noradrenaline is a neurotransmitter that doubles part-time as a hormone. As a neurotransmitter, norepinephrine helps to regulate arousal, dreaming, and moods. As a hormone, it acts to increase blood pressure, constrict blood vessels and increase heart rate - responses that occur when we feel stress.
Glutamate and GABA
(Amino
Acid) gamma-amino butyric acid Amino acids that act as neurotransmitters. The majority of synapses within the brain use glutamate or GABA. They also have other functions in the body such as making energy-rich molecules in cells.
Levodopa L-Dopa
| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Neurotransmitter
Neurotransmitters are chemicals which are released into the synaptic space whenever a neuron conducts an action potential to the axon terminals. There are perhaps 100 or so different neurotransmitter varieties in the brain, including dopamine and serotonin.
Melatonin
a natural hormone that regulates the human biological clock. excess of this hormone can make you sleepy.

FDA RDA (Federal Drug Administration Recommended Daily
Allowance)
The minimum dosage that you require per day, to ward off serious deficiency of this particular nutrient. In the therapeutic use of this nutrient, the dosage is usually increased considerably, but the toxicity level must be kept in mind.

Grapefruit
Juice
Why grapefruit juice? A compound found in grapefruit juice (6,7-dihydroxybergamottin) inhibits enzymes that metabolize drugs in humans. Most supplements are not absorbed by the body and merely washed through with other wastes. If you can increase the bioavailability of all the supplements you are taking you will get more bang for your buck, this includes MDMA.
Amino acids
The building blocks of protein. Twenty amino acids are needed to build the various proteins used in the growth, repair, and maintenance of body tissues. Eleven of these amino acids can be made by the body itself, while the other nine (called essential amino acids) must come from the diet. The classification of an amino acid as essential or nonessential does not reflect its importance, because all twenty amino acids are necessary for health. Instead, this classification system simply reflects whether or not the body is capable of manufacturing a particular amino acid.

In Summary | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The grapefruit juice is a key ingredient. while i hate the taste of it, it's the only way to get that compound. basically what it's doing is preventing your body from flushing out the excess of the other things you're taking (but not using just yet). Then when you drop, you have the things you need in abundance to help minimize damage -- like the Vitamin C and extra Seratonin. you also want to space the vitamins out as described b/c they work together and again, too much excess you're more likely to flush them out. this way there's more chance of them staying in you as you go to the bathroom throughout the day. You take the vitamin B-6, 5-HTP and vitamin C at night before going to bed for the following reasons: first of all your brain does most of it's repairs at night while sleeping. 5HTP would fall in this category. B6 is needed for 5HTP to become Seratonin. Vitamin C tends to give me the poopies *blush* if i have too much since it's so acidic (ie. too much orange juice or whatever), so if i take it at night, it seems to "stick" better with me.
So why do all this? well my friend, the short answer is this: i find that my rolls are much better. more intense, last longer, more euphoric (thanks to DLPA), all that good stuff. it helps to minimize brain damage in theory ;-), and my recovery day (the day after) is minimal. i am usually quite functioning, but just either tired from lack of sleep, or body sore from dancing so much. but mentally, i'm not depressed or anything. i say "usually". i sometimes sit and zone/stare off at the tv, but i'm not depressed, just apathetic. if my friends come get me or whatever, i'm find to hang out. You can get all this stuff at any vitamin store. it's all legal and has uses for other things. the initial expence is a bit steep -- maybe $100, but each bottle is a different size/quantity, so you won't be buying them all, all the time. you'll use them up at different rates, so it isn't such a hit. then again, what's a hundred bucks or so to help protect your health and your brain is the way i see it!? if you wanna play with the big boys, you gotta ante up right. ;-) |

Adendum | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Since this writing, I have read a bit more, and the book "Ecstasy: Dance Drance & Transformation" (by Nicholas Saunders with Rick Doblin) on pg. 72 states:
"Free radicals are formed by the redox cycling of MDMA in the brain. Excessive quantities may cause oxidative damage, but this could be avoided by taking antioxidant supplements. The suggested dose for prevention is 2-4 gm Vitamin C, 1000 IU Vitamin E, 5mg beta-carotene, 2gm bioflavonoids, 1gm L-cartinine, 2gm N-acetylcysteine, and 25 mcg Selenium. For treatemnt, three times this dose is recommended." -- Nutrients for blocking phenethylamine damage by Dr. Brian Leibovits, in MAPS Newsletter, Spring 1993.
Another link I found is this one that has some overlap, and some differences. I've yet to try it, but perhaps I will soon. I know others that try it and swear by it. And this one seems to be pretty informative |

FAQ | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
How long does E stay in the system and if it can be detected by a urinalysis or blood test? The half life of E is about 6 hours, which means that after 6 hours 50% remains and after another 6 hours 25%, so that after 48 hours less that 1% remains which would be pretty hard to detect. Unlike cannabis, it does not get usually stored in body fat. However if you take several doses regularly, it is possible that some may be stored in your body fat and will be released gradually over a couple of weeks. Amphetamine stays in the body longer when urine is alkaline and consequently more is metabolized. In 24 hours, about 80% of a dose will be excreted if urine is acidic, while less than half is excreted if urine is alkaline. But with all piss tests, the more water you flush through, the more dilute your urine and the more likely that the concentration will fall below the limit for the test. The easiest drug to detect is Cannabis, which is stored in the body fat and slowly released. It can be detected up to "five weeks after a single reefer," although people who drink plenty of water close to the test period are usually undetectable in two weeks or less. LSD and Mushrooms are hard to detect even after a few hours. |
